Barry Glassman was recently elected to the Starlight Children’s Foundation™ MidAtlantic Board of Directors.
Starlight MidAtlantic is a local chapter of the international organization whose mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children in the hospital, community and on the web. Founded in the mid-1980s by a group of Hollywood professionals, Starlight Children’s Foundation has since become the leading organization in the nation providing fun in the hospital. In 2010, Starlight MidAtlantic provided a record 2 million hours of entertainment in 154 hospitals in six states.
“Unfortunately, the number of children living with serious and chronic illness in our community is growing,” said Barbara Schreiber, Executive Director of Starlight MidAtlantic. “Starlight’s programming provides a lifeline for these families; therefore the addition of Barry Glassman comes at a critical time. His passion and focus on innovation, along with personal insights and experience will be influential in growing Starlight MidAtlantic.”
