His vision for starting GWS was to deliver investment strategies and wealth management services typically available at the highest levels of wealth. Today, clients benefit from these sophisticated financial services targeted to meet their unique needs.

Before Paul Ryan was Mitt Romney’s Vice Presidential pick, Barry Glassman appeared on CNBC’s Washington & Wall Street with Ryan and Greg Valliere, Chief Political Strategist for the Potomac Research Group to talk about how the mid-term elections of 2010 might impact the economy and influence the uncertainty gripping everyone from CEOs to individual investors.

What’s astonishing to learn is how little things have changed since then. Barry makes the case that the elections are not Y2K. We’re not going to wake up the morning after the elections to find out that everything is now fine. Just as with the mid-term elections, the economy won’t heal itself based on the upcoming election on November 6.

“The key here is we may have more confidence about where we are headed, but it’s still going to be a long haul. Investors need to look beyond this election and prepare their portfolios for the next few years,” Glassman said.

After viewing the video, what do you think has changed since then? Do you think the uncertainty about our economy will disappear after the election? Let us know your thoughts?
